How to Use the Pet Weight Calculator

Got a pet you want to check, or someone offering a trade? Here’s how to get your answer in under a minute.

Pick your mode. If you already know your pet’s hatch weight, stick with “Predict Weight.” If someone’s offering you a pet mid-trade and you only know its current age and weight, switch to “Find Hatch Weight” instead โ€” that’s the one that catches sketchy trades.

Enter what you’ve got. Hatch weight if you’re predicting, or current weight and age if you’re reverse-checking a trade.

Choose the age you care about. Usually that’s either right now, or age 100/125 to see what the pet will eventually be worth.

Hit Calculate. You’ll get the weight, plus whether it’s Normal, Huge, or Titanic โ€” no guessing required.

How Pet Weight Actually Works

Here’s the part most players never bother to work out by hand, so they just trust whatever number someone tells them in a trade.

A pet’s weight isn’t random โ€” it grows on a fixed curve based on its hatch weight, which never changes for that pet’s whole life. The formula:

Weight = (Hatch Weight รท 11) ร— (Age + 10)

So if a pet hatched at 1kg, by age 100 it’ll weigh exactly 10kg. Every single time. No variance, no RNG involved after hatching โ€” age is the only thing moving the number.

That also means you can work backwards. If someone’s trying to trade you a pet and tells you its current age and weight, you can figure out its hatch weight yourself:

Hatch Weight = (Current Weight ร— 11) รท (Age + 10)

This is exactly what the “Find Hatch Weight” mode does for you โ€” two pets can look similar at first glance and have completely different hatch weights, which is the actual thing that determines how good a pet is long-term.

One thing worth knowing: Friend Boost doesn’t touch any of this. It only bumps up how many Sheckles you get when you sell a pet โ€” it has zero effect on weight, growth, or ability strength. A lot of players assume it does something more, and it just doesn’t.

Pet Weight Classifications

Once you know the weight, here’s what it actually means:

Normal โ€” the default. No special roll, follows the standard curve exactly.

Huge โ€” an extremely rare hatch roll, somewhere around 1 in 1000. When it happens, the hatch weight itself gets multiplied by 4, right from birth. You can’t turn a Normal pet into a Huge one later โ€” it’s decided the moment it hatches.

Titanic โ€” this one’s about the hatch weight itself, not a lucky roll. If the unmodified hatch weight comes in at 3.0kg or higher, it’s Titanic. Worth checking this specifically before assuming a heavy-looking pet is “just old.”

Godly โ€” sits at the very top of the weight bracket. Different trackers draw this line at slightly different exact numbers, so treat it as “this pet is elite” rather than a precise cutoff you can bank on.

Checking a Trade Before You Say Yes

Most bad trades in this game happen for one simple reason โ€” one side doesn’t actually know what they’re holding.

Before you accept anything, run through this:

  • Age matters more than it looks. A pet’s age can swing its value dramatically, and it’s easy to overlook if someone’s vague about it.
  • Never take hatch weight at face value. Two pets of the exact same type and rarity can have wildly different hatch weights โ€” that’s the number that actually determines long-term value, not what it looks like today.
  • Confirm the variant. Silver, Golden, and Rainbow pets aren’t the same pet with a skin โ€” they carry real value differences.

If you’re even slightly unsure, plug the numbers into the calculator above before you commit. Ten seconds now beats a bad trade you can’t undo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a pet’s weight ever stop growing?
No โ€” it keeps climbing in a straight line all the way to the maximum age of 125. There’s no point where it plateaus early.

Does Friend Boost increase my pet’s weight or ability?
No. It only affects how many Sheckles you get when selling โ€” nothing about growth or ability strength changes.

How do I check the hatch weight on a pet someone’s trying to trade me?
Ask for their pet’s current age and weight, then run it through “Find Hatch Weight” mode above. It reverses the formula so you’re comparing pets on equal footing before you agree to anything.

Can I calculate my pet’s Sheckle value here yet?
Not yet โ€” value depends on a full rarity-and-variant price dataset that’s still being cross-checked against multiple sources before it goes live. Weight and classification are solid and ready now; value is coming once that part’s confirmed.
